FAQs Track & XC

  • DescriptionOur track team welcomes MO youth ages 6 (as of 12/31) through 8th grade. Our XC team welcomes athletes ages 7 (as of 12/31) through 8th grade.

  • Our team is part of the Lakeland League. This League comprises over 15 local teams in northern NJ. (lakelandtrack.org)

  • Please download the Sports Engine App. Before the start of the season, your child will be added to the Team Roster on Sports Engine, and you will have access to our schedule and chat features.

  • If you are trying to add another parent to the app, please follow these simple instructions:

    1. Open the app using the email address that you registered with

    2. Click on the Account button (bottom right)

    3. Look at Household information and select your child's name

    4. When the contact info pops up, click on the pencil icon on the bottom right to add a guardian

  • Item descriptionRegistration is currently $65 per athlete plus the cost of a uniform.

  • Uniforms will be sold at the beginning of each season. Once registered, you will receive an email detailing the dates that uniforms can be purchased.

  • Your child should wear a good pair of running shoes. We recommend checking out Runner’s Haven in Randolph. As athletes get older, they may choose to run in track/XC spikes during the meets.

  • We recommend that our athletes dress in athletic clothing, in layers. On cold days, wear a hat and gloves. All athletes also need sneakers (see above) and a water bottle. If possible label clothing and water bottles with the athlete’s name.

  • In both track and XC, children compete by age group and gender, with the following categories: 9/10 girls, 9/10 boys, 11/12 girls, 11/12 boys, 13/15 girls, 13/15 boys. In XC, we have an 8 and under age group. In track, we have a clinic age group (see track questions below for more details).

Post Season

If your child wishes, there are post season events each season. We follow the USATF events calendar. We will update our website and app each season to include the dates/locations of those events.
